Maureen Brockway

Maureen grew up in White Bear Lake. She studied art and Spanish at the University of Mexico and holds a B.S. in Art Education from the University of Minnesota, where she studied with Warren MacKenzie. She has continued her studies at the Minnesota Museum and School of Art, where she took graduate level classes with Warren Westerberg. Maureen has attended seminars and workshops with nationally known potters including Catherine Hiersioux, Tom Coleman, Tom Kerrigan and Makoto Yabe.

Maureen co-founded the pottery department at Edina Art Center with Jo French. She taught here from 1976 to 1988, then took a break to produce her own work before returning in 1994.

With a long exhibition history, Maureen continues to exhibit in regional galleries and shows.

Maureen teaches day clay studio and an updraft kiln class at Edina Art Center.
