Anne Spooner
In
addition to being the Program and Gallery Coordinator at the Edina Art
Center, Anne started her career at EAC as a youth art Instructor 11
years ago. For the last four years, she has been an Instructor for Art
Academy, a program for focused young artists. Children have a natural
tendency to include animal imagery in their art and Anne’s recent work
shows this influence. She is currently exploring simplified bird forms
in various media. Anne’s artwork is in private collections and has
exhibited locally and nationally. A graduate of the College of St.
Catherine in St. Paul, Anne holds a degree in Art.
“It has been rewarding to see my students grow and flourish in their art
and amazing to see their progress over time. I feel that I have learned
so much from them, which is an added bonus as an art instructor and also
as an artist. Working at Edina Art Center really is my dream job. There
is such strong support from the community and so many talented
instructors and staff here. It is truly a great environment to be in
every day.”
Anne teaches Art Academy on Mondays and Wednesdays at Edina Art Center.
