The Bird Show-An Exhibition Celebrating BirdsEdina Art Center, Edina Minnesota USA – April 1- April 29, 2010 Since 1977, Edina Art Center has been a special place for people of all ages and abilities to create and enjoy the visual arts. Nestled in a 22 acre park, near Lake Cornelia, the Art Center is surrounded by wildlife, diverse wetland and nature trails, adding to the inspiration and enjoyment of all who visit.
Entry Information: $10 per entry or 3 for $25 may be submitted in US dollars. Fees are non-refundable and must accompany entry forms. No limit on number of entries. Forms of payment include personal checks, or charges to Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Checks made out to Edina Art Center. There are three ways to submit images to The Bird Show- Email, Mail Photos, or Mail CD. Digital images may be submitted as a JPG. If the file is larger than 1MB, please submit on a CD rather than through email. Each digital image file must be saved separately and include the artist’s first and last name, along with the title of image. (i.e. Last name, First name, Title1) For entries on CD, please list all included images on the CD. Mail or email entries to address below. Sales: All entries must be for sale. 35% commission to Edina Art Center. Awards: Cash awards will include a Best of Show of $250 and a Peer Choice award of $150. Images of winning pieces will be posted on a special section of the EAC website. Liability: Entrants are responsible for insurance of works during transit to and from the exhibition. All reasonable care in handling works of art will be exercised by EAC and its agents, but neither the Edina Art Center nor the City of Edina are liable for loss or damage of work submitted for the exhibition. Delivery/Pick up of Work: Accepted works must be shipped to and from the exhibit at the artists’ expense. Return shipment of work will occur between May 1 & May 10, 2010. Other Terms to Note: Artists exhibiting in the show grant permission to the exhibit hosts to photograph or use accepted works for promotional purposes and will be required to sign a waiver.

Eligibility: Open to Artists of all ages from all countries. Work must be original and portray bird subject matter and their impact on our lives. 2-D and 3-D pieces in any medium will be considered with no date of completion required. Maximum size of two-dimensional work is 40 inches in any direction. Sculptural and ceramic work must fit through a 3’ x 7’ door. Entered artwork and prices are NOT subject to change after the entry has been submitted. All accepted pieces must be prepared for display including wire for hanging and ready to sell as is.
